09-24-06 LA CA: 2333 hrs. The weekend is over. My mother
wrote me today. She is taking a class in Thucydides, arranging programs
for the Women's Nat'l Democratic Club, chairing of the volunteer network
in her building and has started a 13 week stint at the National Gallery
of Art to work at the info desk. She is almost 76. When she gets old,
she’ll have to slow down a little. I did my laundry today.
