10-10-06 Cannes France: 2250 hrs. Back in my small room.
Spent the day meeting people who are going to be putting the IFC show
on in their respective territories. I met some men from Lebanon, where
the show will be aired and one of them said something pretty cool.
He said basically that when he saw me yelling down the barrel of the
lens, he listened for a couple of minutes, stopped watching and got
on the phone to make the deal. I hope I get to go to Lebanon at some
point. He said he wants to bring me out there for some promotion stuff.
I’m ready to go right now. I met a lot of people today, journalists,
press people, etc., etc. Not all that easy to do while battling jet
lag but I hung in there all the way through dinner. The best part
of being out here is walking around outside. The weather is great
and the streets and buildings are beautiful.
