11-18-07 LA CA: 2357 hrs. I had a very social evening. I
ate dinner with Engineer X and his gal. Ethiopian food. Really good.
I spent the day working at the office and reading a book by James
Scurlock called Maxed Out. It’s the book version of James’s
very good documentary of the same name. I don’t know when it
comes out. I got a copy at SXSW months ago. I contacted him after
I saw it and asked if he wanted to be on my TV show and he told me
about the book version. It’s not out yet but Simon & Schuster
sent me a copy. So far, it’s as good as the documentary, which
is really intense. Maxed Out is about credit debt in America. You
would think that people could live within their means but you would
also think that people could expect a wage that would at least make
an attempt to keep up with the cost of living and inflation. http://www.maxedoutmovie.com/
