#353. 12-22-06 Dubai UAE: 2110 hrs. Tonight was pretty nuts. The US Eisenhower just docked and everyone on board gets some time off the ship. They are kept near the ship in a holding area for the first night so they can have some beers, listen to music and let off some steam before they go into town. I was put onstage in front of thousands of them. I told them to be friendly to the locals and then basically got out of the way so they could get back to their night off. I got off stage and hung out on the side and signed autographs for many drunk but friendly sailors for quite a long time while a cover band played through a set. The noise was hard to take but we got through it. Back in my room now. We have a very long day tomorrow.
