#275. 10-02-07 Washington DC: Late. I liked this show a little more than last night’s show. I thought the audience was a little looser and it felt a little more lively. My old boss from the ice cream store I used to work at came to the show. I have not seen him in a few years, that was cool. My mother stopped by and dropped off some books that were passed onto her. Steve Coll signed a copy of his book Ghost Wars to me and Thomas Ricks wrote me a note on one his cards and passed it along via her as well. She meets some interesting people. I don’t know how they know me but it was pretty cool. I visited Bethesda Medical today, I thought it was going to be Walter Reed but plans changed. I met injured men. Today, most of them had TBI otherwise known as traumatic brain injury. Some of the injuries were very severe and very hard to view. It’s a hard trip but always worth it.
