Fanatics, tonight we listen to my favorite DEVO album, Duty Now For the Future, their 2nd for Warner Brothers. Over the years, we have heard a few tracks from this record but tonight, we will listen to the album in full As much as I love the band’s first album, a classic on every level, it was always Duty Now that grabbed me the most. If you listen to their albums after this one, while great, they never sounded like this again. This was the last of the raw DEVO sound and as much as I like all their other albums, it was this early era of the band that I connect with the most. I hope you like the album and the last two tracks, the b-sides off that album. For the rest of the night, it’s a great mix of music that I think you’ll like. ‡ Oh and there’s this: I will be back live on the air next week! I can’t wait and have a killer show that I can’t wait to play for you. Also, Engineer X and I will be putting together some really great pre-tapes for the few weeks ahead. I have a few more weeks on the road and then I will be back in the summer and we will have some great nights of music.
