How ya goin’ Fanatics?! I am in Sydney Australia for the millionth time and I think X and I have put together a show that you will really like. It’s a good mix of good things an since I am in Australia, what better band to start off the night with than The Saints? Some of these songs and groups are familiar to you but perhaps there’s a few things you have not heard yet. We will get some good use out of the Rare Country Blues series on Document that I just snagged four CDs of as well as some great records I have picked up in the last few weeks. I just got in a ton of early Hendrix we’ll have some fun with as well as Sun Ra, Yellow Swans, Wolf Eyes, new Fall, Diamanda Galas and others. Windy of Windy and Carl’s new album I Hate People is out next week if it’s still on schedule. Look for that one, it’s really great. ‡ Now, next week, you will need to listen with a little care as it’s a pre-tape that we did for our 02-12-08 show before we got Ian MacKaye to come in and do it so there might be some references on there that might throw you a little if you’re not ready. The show itself is pure gold. It’s Sleep’s epic Dopesmoker album in its entirety along with a track from Om and High On Fire. This is going to be a brain blaster so play it as loud as you can! ‡ I am already getting tracks ready for our live return in May. I can’t wait to unleash these songs I have all saved up for you.
